Description: Maintenance Technician II, 1st Shift, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mon-Fri

Payrate: $26.00


The maintenance technician responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness of the plant and providing routine maintenance as required to ensure a safe and organized environment. Key responsibilities/ essential functions include performing daily inspections of ceiling tiles and plant lighting; performing monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, eye wash stations and emergency lighting; performing preventative maintenance (PM) on designated machines and equipment; purchasing safety and manufacturing supplies as requested; cleaning equipment, walls and flooring to meet manufacturing standards; performing simple building repairs including wall patching and painting; coordinating work done by outside vendors; performing quality assurance checks; adhering to quality policy in accordance with ISO requirements. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent and six months of work experience, preferably in a production environment. Able to communicate, receive, understand and follow verbal and written instructions for duties. Basic math and computer skills are required. Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs., stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for long periods. Must be capable of steadily using their hands. Must be able to read and write simple statements. Ability to make decisions and have sound judgment.
